    Mitchell Bruckert, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Mitchell Bruckert is excited to be the new owner of Wales Animal Clinic as of April 1, 2021. Dr. Bruckert is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and spent his clinical year at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Dr. Bruckert is interested in exotic animal medicine, dentistry, neurology, and surgery.

    In his free time, he enjoys SCUBA diving, curling, and spending time with his family at their home in Waukesha. He has a couple of saltwater fish tanks, and 3 dogs; Bella, Gus and Abby.

  • Michael D. Aushwitz, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Michael Aushwitz joined Wales Animal Clinic in Fall of 2019. 

    Dr. Mike has been practicing Veterinary Medicine for 25 years.  He is from the Waukesha area and attended UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1994.  He practiced at Kuenzi Family Pet Hospital from 1994-2016; he started as an associate and worked to become a Partner/Owner in 1999 for 13 years.  He continued to work for Vetcor even after the practice was sold in 2012 until 2016.  He then practice at Lake Geneva Animal Hospital for 1 year.  From 2017-2019 he pursued another path and Dr. Mike served as an Adjunct Instructor at Gateway Technical College in Elkhorn for the Veterinary Science Program where he used his career of experience to teach. 

    Dr. Mike’s professional interests include canine and feline internal medicine, clinical pathology, and ultrasound. 

    Dr. Mike is married to Sandy and has a daughter Charlotte.  He enjoys spending time outdoors at his cabin in Northern Wisconsin and is an avid fisherman especially for muskies.

  • Patti

    Practice Manager

    Patti joined Wales Animal Clinic fall of 2003 when the clinic was opened by Dr. Stewart. As Practice Manager she uses her accounting degree and is responsible for the clinic accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory. She serves on the State Board for Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Managers Association as Treasurer.  At the Clinic she oversees employees and assists the veterinarians as needed. Large Animal experience for Patti began with her husband on a Wisconsin dairy farm where her three boys showed Holstein, Guernsey, and Brown Swiss Cattle at county, state, and national shows. She learned firsthand how vital veterinary medicine was keeping the herd healthy. Patti embraced the transition to Small Animal medicine and now enjoys sharing a lifetime of animal memories and new discoveries. Outside work Patti loves hearing from her oldest son, an Equipment & Packaging Project Manager at a leading Chemical Company and his wife, a Special Education Middle School Teacher, her middle son a Senior Reliability Engineer working with the leading Tool Company doing product testing and verification and his fiancé an Association Marketing Specialist.  The youngest a Sales Engineer working with Thermal Systems and Process Equipment and his talented fiancé watching over their new son.  She is passionate about her family, friends, neighbors, Watertown Wrestling, Wisconsin Badgers Football, walking, UTV trail riding, biking, camping and music

    Veterinary Assistant/Technician

    Deanna joined Wales Animal Clinic in Spring of 2018. She was engaged with animals with her family’s very first dog when this girl was a youngster and her first occupation being employed at a boarding and daycare facility for dogs, cats and birds. In the time being, she has only become more knowledgeable about animals and the field of veterinary medicine. In 2013 Deanna graduated Milwaukee Career College as a Certified Veterinary Assistant and has been working in clinics since then. She is keen on getting to be familiar with the patients and clients here at WAC. Deanna accompanies her pooch Noodle who is a bouncy Australian Shepherd. During her free time she adores traveling, hiking, snowmobiling, fishing, and kayaking with friends and family.

    Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

    Anna joined Wales Animal Clinic in July of 2019. She graduated in 2009 from UW-Green Bay with a degree in Biology and has been working with animals ever since. Anna began her work in wildlife rehabilitation, then moved to domestic care at doggy daycare and pet boarding facilities. She spent the last 5 years working at an animal shelter, and has now decided to learn more about veterinary work. When she's not working, Anna enjoys fostering animals for the local shelters, volunteering at the wildlife center, watching sports, hiking, biking, and traveling.
  • Glenda

    Veterinary Assistant/Technician

    Glenda joined Wales Animal Clinic in October of 2019. Glenda graduated from Milwaukee Career College with an Associate Degree in Animal Science in 2014. She has been working in small animal practices throughout the state since. Glenda has always had a huge heart and passion for animals since she was a child. Her first love was her Aunts Border Collie/Spaniel mix that she grew up with. When Glenda isn’t loving on client’s animals, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 7 fur kids. They currently have 3 dogs and 4 cats and their family keeps growing. In her spare time Glenda likes to go camping, make crafts, painting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

    Santalina

    Receptionist/Veterinary Assisitant

    Santalina joined Wales Animal Clinic February of 2021. Santalina graduated from Milwaukee Career College as a Certified veterinary Assistant in 2020, She has been working in shelters, small clinics, and hospitals since. Santalina has always had a love for animals since she was young, she grew up with her grandmothers dog and ever since then she knew she wanted to work with animals not only just to care for them but to love them like her own. When Santalina is not working she enjoys reading, spending time with her family & friends, and caring for her two fur kids one cat and one dog who seem to be the best of friends.
